Yaroslav Ognevyuk, Partner and Head of Intellectual Property at Sayenko Kharenko, has been elected to the International Trademark Association (INTA) Enforcement Committee for 2022–2023.

Over the past ten years, Yaroslav has been a member of the INTA’s Anticounterfeiting and Internet Committees. Previous public activities in these committees focused on improving the practice of protecting rights on the Internet and combating counterfeiting.

As part of the committee, Yaroslav will develop and advocate the Association’s policy regarding the enforcement of trademarks. The committee will monitor cases, legislation, and regulation in various jurisdictions, complete analyses, and propose policy recommendations to the INTA Board regarding enforcement issues.

The International Trademark Association (INTA) is a global association of brand owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property (IP) to foster consumer trust, economic growth, and innovation. Members include nearly 6,500 organisations, representing more than 34,350 individuals (trademark owners, professionals, and academics) from 185 countries, who benefit from the INTA’s global trademark resources, policy development, education and training, and international network. This year, more than 3,900 member volunteers applied to serve on INTA committees.
