• David Sweere, Dan Sweere and Tamara Sweere, Kyiv-Atlantic Group received USUBC Distinguished Service Awards in Kyiv

  USUBC  awards were presented to David Sweere, Dan Sweere, father-and-son top-managers of Kyiv-Atlantic Group, as well as Tamara Sweere, co-founder of Kyiv-Atlantic Group, a long-time member of U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) on June 14, 2018 in Kyiv

• Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Ohio's 9th Congressional District

  Congresswoman Kaptur is a Co-Chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus; her grandparents were born in Ukraine and she has worked on Ukraine issues ever since she has been in the Congress.
  
  Marcy Kaptur received USUBC ADA Award on March 29, 2018 during the Reception on the occasion of her visit to Kyiv.

• Armen Khachaturyan, Senior Partner, Asters

  Armen has extensive banking, finance, and project finance experience.
  
  USUBC  honored Mr. Khachaturyan with DSA Award during a joint USUBC/Asters Art event on March 15, 2018 in Kyiv.

• John Tefft, Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine (2009-2013)

  John Tefft is a Former U.S. Ambassador to 
  Lithuania, Georgia, Ukraine and Russia. He retired in 2017
  after 37 years of Foreign Service. 
  John Tefft is currently serving as Senior Adviser to
  U.S.-Ukraine Business Council. He received a DSA award
   on December 14, 2017 during Council's Annual Meeting Luncheon. 

• Betsy Hafner, U.S.-Trade Representative Office (USTR)

  At USTR Ms. Hafner is responsible for Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, and Belarus as well as Kazakhstan’s WTO accession.  Her work focuses primarily on planning and formulating U.S. government negotiating positions and tactics on a variety of trade-related issues with her countries of responsibility. 
  Betsy received her DSA award from USUBC in December 2017

• Orest Deychakiwsky, Former Policy Adviser for Belarus,
  Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine U.S. Helsinki Commission

  Orest retired from U.S. Helsinki Commission (Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe) after 35 years of brilliant service. Today he is covering U.S.-Ukrainian relations for several publications and outlets. 
  USUBS President Morgan Williams gave Orest a DSA award on December 15, 2016. Mr. Deychakiwsky is currently serving as Senior Adviser to USUBC. 

• Eugene Fishel, Division Chief, Bureau of Intelligence and Research, U.S. Department of State

  Mr. Fishel is an analyst with the U.S. Department of State and a prominent specialist on Ukraine, including anti corruption programs. 
  Eugene was acknowledged by USUBC DSA Award for his distinguished and continuing public service on February 1, 2017 in Washington, D.C. 

• Myroslava Gongadze, Chief, Ukrainian Service, Voice of America

  For more than 10 years years Myroslava has  been an actual Voice of America, of democracy, and human rights movement for Ukraine. USUBC DSA Award was presented to Myroslava on December 15, 2016 for powerful and objective covering of U.S.-Ukraine business cooperation by VOA Ukrainian service, and their remarkable professionalism in international broadcasting.
   

• Geoffrey Pyatt, Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine (2013-2016)

  Geoffrey Pyatt currently serves as U.S. Ambassador to Greece. 

  U.S.-Ukraine Business Council honored him with a DSA Award on July 25, 2016 before he left Kyiv for his outstanding and dedicated service as U.S. Ambassador in Ukraine. 

• James Lindley, Senior Commercial Officer, U.S. Embassy in Kyiv (2014-2017)

  James Lindley currently serves as Commercial Counselor at
  U.S. Embassy in London. 
  
  He received a USUBC DSA award during Council's Meeting with U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch in Kyiv on April, 20, 2017. 

• Anders Aslund, Resident Senior Fellow, Atlantic Council

  Anders Åslund received a DSA award in December 2015 as one of the world's leading economists and experts on Ukraine, specializes in economic transition of  Ukraine and Eastern Europe. 

  Mr. Aslund is the longest serving Senior Advisor to the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC). He has been a USUBC Senior Advisor for 20 years. 

• Patrick Sweet, USUBC Secretary-Treasurer

  Patrick has been a member of USUBC from the founding days. He currently serves as USUBC Secretary Treasurer and an officer on the Council’s Executive Committee.

  Mr. Sweet received a DSA award at the USUBC Annual Meeting in December 2015 for his long-time service and support of the Council. 

• Irina Palashalivi, President, RULG - Ukrainian Legal Group

  Irina Palashalivi is a President and Senior Counsel of RULG- Ukrainian Legal Group, P.A., Washington, D.C./Kyiv, Ukraine. 
  
  Irina received a DSA Award at the USUBC Annual Meeting in December 2015 for her dedicated service as a member of the USUBC Executive Committee and her tremendous pro bono work on legal reform in Ukraine. ​

• Van Yeutter, Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Cargill

  Van Yeutter has worked with Cargill, one of the founding members of USUBC, since 1995. 
  
  A Distinguished Servise Award was presented to Mr. Yeutter
  at the USUBC Annual Meeting in December 2015 for his long-time  service in the Executive Committee of U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC).
   

• Michael Kirst, Vice President of Strategy and External Affairs, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Westinghouse Electric Company

  Michael Kirst is a member of the Executive Committee and received his
  DSA Award at the USUBC Annual meeting in December 2015 in Washington. 
  Mr. Kirst has been with Westinghouse since 1996 and is based in Belgium, Brussels 

• Jack Heller, USUBC Legal Counsel

  USUBC Distinguished Servise Award was presented to Mr. Heller
  at the USUBC Annual Meeting in December 2015 for his outstanding service as Legal Counsel to U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC)
  
  Mr. Heller has been in the practice of law in Washington, DC since 1974 specializing in international matters. 
   

• Olexander Motsyk, Former Ambassador of Ukraine (2010-2015)

  Olexander Motsyk served as Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA
  from 2010 to 2015. 
  Prior to that he served as Ukrainian ambassador to Poland and Turkey. 
  Ambassador Motsyk received DSA Award on April 16, 2015 on USUBC farewell dinner before he left to Kyiv, for his contribution in development of strong business relations between Ukraine and the United States. 

• Michael Bleyzer, President & Chief Executive Officer,
  SigmaBleyzer Private Equity Fund

  The first ever such USUBC award was given to Bleyzer in September 2012 for his outstanding contribution, over the past 20 years, to the economic and business development of Ukraine, to the development of the SigmaBleyzer private equity management firm, to the significant membership growth of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) and to the prosperity of the people of Ukraine.
