USUBC Welcomes New Regional Director of European Investment Bank (EIB) Kristina Mikulova

U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) held a meeting with Mr. Jean-Erik de Zagon, Head of the Regional Hub for Eastern Europe at the European Investment Bank (EIB), and Ms. Kristina Mikulova, who will take over Mr. de Zagon’s role on October 1, 2024. USUBC thanked Mr. de Zagon for his successful and productive tenure, and welcomed Ms. Mikulova in her new role, expressing hope for continuation of the productive engagement of USUBC and its Members with EIB. Read more…

USUBC Members Support Ukraine's Recovery by joining the Ukraine Business Compact

Sixteen members of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council have committed to the Ukraine Business Compact, endorsing the initiative to bolster Ukraine’s economic recovery and modernization. The Compact, unveiled at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2023, is hosted by the United Nations Global Compact Ukraine in partnership with the Government of Ukraine.  It encourages the international business community to engage in trade, investment, and expertise sharing to help secure Ukraine’s long-term economic future, including helping Ukraine build back better, as a more resilient, greener, and more prosperous European nation. Read more…

Government will compensate 100% of the cost of demining to farmers who demine agricultural land

The Cabinet of Ministers has increased the amount of compensation for agribusinesses planning to demine agricultural land. The program will also now be open to farmers who have a tax debt for land or a single tax debt if they are Group IV single tax payers.
