Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners Ukraine advises 2XU Pty Ltd, an Australian multinational corporation engaged in the design, development and selling of sporting apparel, on overcoming refusal for protection of client’s key brands in Ukraine.
EPAP IP team represents the Client before Ukrainian Patent office, which rejected request for granting local protection to international trademark registration due to lack of its distinctiveness.
Having reviewed the evidences of trademark use along with respective substantiation for the protection granting prepared by the team, the Patent office changed its decision, provided full protection to the Client’s trademarks and sent respective notice to the World Intellectual Property Organization.
EPAP Ukraine team is led by Counsel, Taras Kyslyy (Head of Intellectual of Intellectual Property/TMT Practice), assisted by Associate Olena Kozhokar.
