A little over one year ago the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) introduced it membership and guests to a new project that will have a transformational impact on Ukraine: establishing American University Kyiv (AUK).

American University Kyiv (AUK) is a unique partnership, powered by Arizona State University, involving Cintana Education and business partners from Ukraine and Georgia.  Over the past year the American University Kyiv (AUK) has made substantial progress: (1) hiring a founding President, Dr. Rick Shangraw, (2) hiring a founding Rector, Dr. Roman Sheremeta, (3) obtaining a higher education license from the Ministry of Education of Ukraine and (4) renovating the Kyiv River Port facility as a home for the University.

American University Kyiv (AUK) will be a world class private university and will launch a unique model of higher education.  AUK will have access to world-leading curriculum from Arizona State University and management support from Cintana Education - a world leader in university design and transformation, which maintains a strategic partnership with Arizona State University.
