On 16 March 2017, a package of governmental regulations regarding the establishment and functioning of independent supervisory boards in state-owned companies (the “Regulations”) came into legal force.

 The Regulations were finally adopted at the second attempt by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on 10 March 2017. Initially, the Regulations were adopted in November 2016, but due to unknown political factors were never promulgated and thus, have only just come into effect for the first time.
