UIA has successfully completed IOSA Audit

Based on the resultsof International Air Transport Association (IATA) follow-up audit for thecompliance with the highest operational safety standards, Ukraine InternationalAirlines received the new IOSA Certificate which will take legal effect on June17, 2015. 

In February 2015UIA has once again successfully completed the audit for modern operationalsafety requirements compliance and received yet another IOSA (IATA OperationalSafety Audit) Certificate. The IOSA audit covers all aspects of an airline`soperations affecting flight safety, including maintenance and flight operation,ground handling, cargo transportation, and company management. 

Remarkably, UIA hasvolunteered to undergo an Enhanced IOSA (E-IOSA) – the new procedure based onachieving the four pillars: Continuity, Focus on Implementation, Reliability ofQuality Assurance, and Standardization. UIA became the first airline in the CISto complete the E-IOSA process taking advantage of a significantly broaderinformation base, thus providing increased value and continuity to the auditresult. Starting September 2015 E-IOSA will become mandatory for all renewalaudits.

IATAOperational Safety Audit (IOSA) program was developed by IATA with leading aviationindustry experts involved and introduced in 2003. The IOSA program is aninternationally recognized and accepted evaluation system designed to assessthe operational management and control systems of an airline and aimed at increasing operationalsafety on a global scale, audit principles and auditors` requirementsstandardization, establishing a secure network of audit results` dissemination,as well as mandatory audits systems` optimization. According to IATArequirements IOSA audit is to be conducted on biannual basis while operationalsafety regulations are regularly tightened.
