Olga Grygier-Siddons, Chief Executive of PwC Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), has announced the decision to formally integrate the PwC Ukrainian practice with the CEE Northern Cluster territories of Poland, the Baltics and Belarus; appoint the CEE Assurance Leader Richard Pollard to also serve as the PwC Ukraine Country Managing Partner; and appoint the current PwC Ukraine Country Managing Partner Oleg Tymkiv to a new leadership role in the Northern Cluster.
To better address the needs of our local clients and international companies doing business in our region, PwC CEE has worked in recent years to increase integration of its operations across key and compatible markets. For example, we have clustered our practices in the Baltic states with Poland and Belarus to form a Northern Cluster, and integrated several of our practices in South Eastern Europe into a Southern Cluster. The integration of the Ukrainian practice into our Northern Cluster represents a continuation of that process.
“I am proud of the work being done here. PwC Ukraine is a strong business, forging enduring relationships and bringing value to major stakeholders during a period of economic challenge and uncertainty. PwC Ukraine’s integration with the Northern Cluster will allow us better to serve our clients in the region,” said Olga Grygier-Siddons, Chief Executive of PwC Central and Eastern Europe.
To lead this integration, CEE Assurance Leader Richard Pollard has taken on the additional role of PwC Ukraine Country Managing Partner. Richard has been working for PwC for more than 30 years and leads the PwC CEE Assurance practice across 29 countries. In this capacity, Richard will manage integration of the Ukrainian operations with the Northern Cluster and will work on further strengthening of the firm’s position on the market. He will relocate to Kyiv and assume his new role in the coming weeks.
“Since I came to the CEE region from the UK more than four years ago, I have been continuously impressed with the determination of our clients and our people to adapt and find success in challenging times. I look forward to leading the exciting changes in our Ukraine practice as we continue to help our clients to be successful in local markets and globally competitive,” said Richard Pollard, PwC CEE Assurance Leader and new Country Managing Partner of PwC Ukraine.
Oleg Tymkiv will take on a leadership role in the expanded Northern Cluster responsible for strategic projects including important new inward investors to the region. Although the majority of his time will be devoted to his new role he will be based in Ukraine to serve important public and private sector clients and strengthen PwC Ukraine’s market position.
"Thank you to our great team in Ukraine and to our clients for their trust in us over the past two years that I have led the development of our Ukrainian practice. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the growth of our practice across both here and in our expanded Northern Cluster,” said Oleg Tymkiv, current Country Managing Partner of PwC Ukraine.
