Learning in a new way: DuPont Pioneer improves conditions for education

On April 22, 2015 representatives of DuPont Pioneer, part ofwhich is the production seed complex LLC "Stasi Nasinnya", in theframework of the program of social responsibility has officially handed the newequipment for classrooms and energy efficient windows for the local high schooland kindergarten. 

Due to the financial support of Pioneer Hi-Bred Foundation,founded by DuPont Pioneer in 1992 to implement charitable activities, the newmodern classrooms of English language, physics and biology was opened in thehigh school of Stasi named after M.Bashkirtseva. The equipment includes a setof books and dictionaries, game programs, licensed CD with information to learnEnglish. In biology class software for teachers, printed display and dynamictools, virtual laboratories and printer are installed. For physics classroomDuPont Pioneer gave students interactive whiteboards, equipment for visualstudy of electrodynamics and electricity, as well as a set for the laboratory work.In addition, the high school and the local kindergarten installedenergy-efficient windows that help to reduce heat loss and the cost of heatingfacilities in winter, as well as maintain a comfortable temperature in theclassroom throughout the year and reduce the effects of ultraviolet radiation.

 

As part of the creative report of gymnasium VladimirSalnikov, plant manager at DuPont Pioneer in Stasi, officially handed theequipment to children and wished interesting study: "DuPont Pioneerstrives to do business responsibly towards society, all people andorganizations with whom we interact during our activities. Help to the childrenis the best investment in our future. We learned about these needs of highschool and kindergarten during the open dialogue between business and opinionleaders of the village, and thus determine priorities. I am sure that childrenwill enjoy learning and classes will be held more interesting, useful andcomfortable".

 

Galyna Bednaya, headmaster of the high school named after M.Bashkirtsevain Stasi: "We are pleased that in our village there is business that isresponsible to the society. Especially important to take care of the youngergeneration and maintenance of schools, which are in difficult situation. Newclasses, presented by DuPont Pioneer are very good resources that delight byits functionality. It is particularly important that the representatives of thecompany have agreed with us every detail, and we got such kits necessary forlearning. Our teachers also had training on using the equipment".

 

"Windows donated by DuPont Pioneer have safe mode whichis important when used in children's institutions. They provide a high level ofthermal insulation, allowing our children stay in the room pleasant andcomfortable"- shared Iryna Karpenko, head of the kindergarten in Stasi.

 

It is worth noting that DuPont Pioneer has a long goodtradition to help the villagers of Stasi. So, last year with the help ofPioneer Hi-Bred Foundation Stasi community had received a certified equippedambulance car.
