Ukrainian Technology & Innovation Export AllianceBecomes Technology Partner of renowned forum as part of its quest to promote innovationand technology advancement

UTIEA (Ukrainian Technology & InnovationExport Alliance unifying six leading IT outsourcing companies based in Ukraine – Ciklum, EPAM, GlobalLogic, Luxoft, Miratech, and SoftServe)is proud to announce it has become the Technology Partner of the FallingWalls Lab Kyiv, a renowned forum that gives young academics andentrepreneurs a unique opportunity to share their research projects andinnovative ideas concerning social challenges and the big issues of the future. It is the firsttime this prestigious research-focused event will be held in Ukraine.

The Falling Walls Lab Kyiv is one of 36 qualifying events in 28countries, and will take place on 17 September 2015 in the premises of theTaras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The winner of the Kyiv Lab willparticipate in the global Finale, which takes place on 8 November 2015 inBerlin, and will be judged by a Jury under the direction of ProfessorCarl-Henrik Heldin, Chairman of the Nobel Foundation.

As the Technology Partner of the Falling WallsLab Kyiv, UTIEA supports Ukrainian start-ups and other transformativeinitiatives, helping the Ukrainian innovators present their potential on anational and international scale.  The Alliance will be represented on theLab’s judging panel by Taras Vervega, the co-founder of SoftServe and winner ofthe Benefactor of the Year in the ‘2015 People of Lviv’ Awards.

“During the Falling Walls Lab Kyiv each of 30participants will have just three minutes to prove the viability and globalsignificance of their work. Ukraine has immense transformative potential, whichhas yet to be unleashed to the world, and I’m looking forward to what are boundto be some groundbreaking presentations,” said Taras Vervega.
