WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), founded by the Economics Education and Research Consortium, Inc. (EERC) and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, is a world-class academic institution with a reputation for excellence both in Ukraine and internationally.
KSE offers internationally recognized two-year, full time English language Master's Programs in Economic Analysis and in Financial Economics taught by international and Western-trained Ukrainian faculty who have strong backgrounds in teaching and research. The program's curriculum is modeled on the best economic graduate programs in North America and Western Europe.
Since 1996, KSE has produced 462 graduates. Seventy-four graduates have already received a Ph.D. degree from Western universities; 10 of those graduates teach at KSE on full- or part- time basis.
KSE alumni work in leading positions at the top financial and policy-making institutions in Ukraine, or earned recognition as excellent economists in the USA and Western Europe. All of those at the school – faculty, staff, current students, and alumni – would be grateful to you for considering supporting KSE.
Annually, KSE accepts about 55 new students to the first year of the program. A total of about 80-90 first and second year students receive education at KSE each year. The total cost of the education is EURO 10,000 per student per year.
Generous support of the sponsors allows KSE to set tuition at the level of only EURO 3,000 a year and provide full scholarships to about 30 students a year. In addition, about 40 students receive partial scholarships and pay reduced tuition of EURO 1,500.
Private individuals fund two scholarships at the KSE: the Alumni Scholarship and the Peter Kennedy Memorial Fellowship, link: (http://www.kse.org.ua/aboutus/fellowship.htm).
You can support these scholarships by credit card or check by following the instructions at the following web-site (http://www.kse.org.ua/support.htm). You can also provide a different designation for your contribution. For example, you can provide general support to the school or funds to establish a special U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) scholarship.
Private companies traditionally support KSE by funding a course, a faculty chair, or a student scholarship. The course, faculty chair, or student scholarship are named after the funding organization.
Currently, KSE has the Citibank and Dragon Capital scholarships, and a student loan program supported by Swedbank. If you are interested to establish a scholarship or support a faculty chair or a course, please contact Svetlana Bocharova (Bocharova@kse.org.ua, tel. +380 (44) 492-8012) for further information.
