WASHINGTON, D.C. - Holiday Inn Kiev has been approved for membership in the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), the USUBC executive committee announced today. The announcement was made on behalf of the entire USUBC membership of 200 companies and organizations who have business operations, investments or other development programs in Ukraine.
Holiday Inn is considered to be the most recognizable brand of the worldwide IHG Company (InterContinental Group) and has over 1,200 hotels in more than 100 countries around the world.
The Holiday Inn Kiev was the first hotel of the Holiday Inn chain in Ukraine and opened for business in June 2012, just in time for the EURO-2012 football championship games. Located between Hor’koho and Chervonoarmiis’ka Streets, and a short walk from the Olimpiisky Stadium, the hotel is just off a main route linked to the International Boryspil Airport.
LOCATED IN MAJOR NEW COMPLEX OF OFFICE AND RETAIL SPACE
The hotel is part of a major new complex of office and retail space, designed by Andriy Pashen’ko and Dmytro Arshynov who took their inspiration from the St Nicholas Cathedral, which is opposite the building. Several major international businesses have moved into the new complex of office and retail space.
The hotel offers 208 spacious guest rooms, including 180 standard, 26 executive and 2 suites. All rooms are air conditioned and equipped with plasma TVs, complimentary WI-FI and wired internet access, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, safe and fridge.
The Towers restaurant opens at 7:00 a.m. for the famous Holiday Inn breakfast, an extensive buffet featuring all your favourites. Business lunches are available from 12 – 5 p.m. on week days. An A La Carte menu features modern European and classic Ukrainian cuisine each evening through till 11 p.m.
Adjoining the restaurant is the lobby bar, open for continental breakfast and serving light snacks, hot and cold beverages throughout the day and evening. A 24 hour room service menu is also available. Complimentary WI-FI is available in all public areas of the hotel.
The Fitness area with a panoramic city view is located on the 11th floor and available 24 hours for all guests staying in the hotel. The equipment includes standard bikes, steppers and running machines. There is also a universal weight training system and free weights area.
Conference room Gorodetsky suite is available adjacent to the main reception and lobby lounge. The conference room is fully equipped with the latest technology. An expansion of the hotel's conference facilities is planned for 2014.

USUBC staff has been working with John Cairns, General Manager, Holiday Inn Kiev. USUBC's Michael Datsenko and Morgan Williams have met with general manager John Cairns several times over the past several months. Meetings have also been held with the sales and marketing personnel at the hotel. Manager Cairns said, "We are looking forward to working closely with USUBC and its large number of members."

USUBC membership has grown rapidly during the past seven years. Membership now stands at over 200. In January 2005 membership was eight; two years later it had grown to 22; in January 2009 it reached 100; and in January of 2013 topped 200.
