DTEK RENEWABLES has allocated UAH 19,5 million to improve the infrastructure and life of communities

In 2019, DTEK RENEWABLES provided financing to more than 40 social projects in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson Regions. This allowed the communities, in the territory of which the company’s wind and solar power plants are located, to modernize the local infrastructure and improve the living conditions of people.
DTEK RENEWABLES has allocated more than UAH 12,3 million to the development of social infrastructure, UAH 4,6 million to energy efficiency projects, and about UAH 2,6 million to the healthcare and mini-grants.
As a socially responsible company, DTEK is committed to the sustainable development of the territories and supports the projects aimed at increase of the regional competitiveness and improving the quality of life in the localities where the company operates.
“We strive to be a reliable partner for our communities not in words but in deeds. In 2020, we will continue to invest in infrastructure development. DTEK Renewables will financially support the implementation of projects within those community development programs that has been approved earlier and will increase investments in the mini-grants competition DIY Community, so that residents can initiate those projects that are important for them,”- said Anton Mishin, Executive Director of DTEK RENEWABLES.
Among the most significant projects of the company’s social partnership programme were:
- construction of the phase I of the inlet water supply to Azov village in Primorsk district (Zaporizhzhya region) and renovation of the water supply on Shkilna street in the city of Primorsk (Zaporizhzhya region);
- computer and medical equipment to the Primorsky district hospital;
- repair of the school canteen and the heating system in Oleksiivska school of the Nikopol district (Dnipropetrovsk region);
- complete renovation of the village club in Rainivka village in Primorsk district (Zaporizhzhya region).
The most unusual project, implemented among the other DIY Community projects, was the modern climbing wall at Primorsk School No. 2 in the gym that was also previously renovated with DTEK Renewables funds. Now more than 2,000 children and teenagers can train there.
