International law firm DLA Piperhas acted as a legal counsel to shareholders of Pharma Start LLC, a majorUkrainian pharmaceutical manufacturer, in connection with sale of 100% stake inPharma Start to Acino Pharma AG. The financial terms of the transaction are notdisclosed.

The DLA Piper team providedshareholders of Pharma Start with full legal support of the transactionstarting from pre-sale matters to closing. Our services included drafting andnegotiation of all transactional documents, obtaining ofclearances from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, as well as closingsupport.

The transaction team consisted ofAlla Kozachenko, Legal Director(Corporate and M&A), GalynaZagorodniuk, Legal Director (Antitrust), Illya Sverdlov, Legal Director (Tax), supervised by corporate andtax partners Margarita Karpenko and Svitlana Musienko, as well as Natalia Pakhomovska, Partner (IP).
