CMS promotes Olga Belyakova to a partner in Ukraine and announces 31 partner and two director promotions globally

Frankfurt, 29 April 2016. CMS has added 31 partners across 22 offices globally, in addition to two director appointments in Scotland. Women represent over 39% of the firm’s promotions, spread across a number of practice areas and jurisdictions.
The Kyiv office of CMS Cameron McKenna congratulates Olga Belyakova with this well-deserved promotion. Olga advises clients on corporate/commercial and competition matters with a special focus on the technology, media and communication sector (TMC). Olga has over fifteen years of experience in the TMC sector consulting local and international IT, telecommunication, and television companies of various size and caliber.
Olga’s general corporate and commercial experience combines broad expertise in competition law, mergers and acquisitions and in negotiating various types of commercial contracts, including sale and purchase agreements, procurement agreements, distribution agreements, and agreements relating to the advertisement of services. Olga is a recommended lawyer in the Chambers Europe 2012-2016 edition in the field of competition law in Ukraine, which describes her as “knowledgeable, service-minded and extremely impressive.”

John Craske and Fiona Letham, who lead the Legal Services Unit (LSU) at CMS, have also been promoted to the role of ‘LSU Director’, with effect from 1 May. The LSU currently comprises 30 paralegals, located in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and in the three years since its launch has more than tripled in size.
The LSU was set up in response to the needs of CMS clients who wanted innovative resourcing solutions and better value from their legal advisers, particularly around the resourcing of repeat, volume and process led legal work. The team provides legal support services to CMS lawyers and clients in the UK and internationally.
