WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Citi, the leading global financial services company, has been approved for membership in the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), the USUBC executive committee announced today on behalf of the entire USUBC membership of over 130 companies and organizations who have business operations, investments or other development programs in Ukraine. Citi has approximately 200 million customer accounts and does business in more than 140 countries.

OFFICE ESTABLISHED IN UKRAINE IN 1997
Citi established a Representative Office in Ukraine in 1997. PJSC "Citibank" was registered by the National Bank of Ukraine in May, 1998 and on October 30, 1998 the Bank was granted the package of banking licenses authorizing it to conduct all principal banking operations. Ukraine was the 100th country in Citi's global network. Citi now has over 100 employees in Ukraine.

Citibank Ukraine's customer base is composed of the leading Ukrainian companies and multinationals, to which they provide a range of banking products including financing, treasury, and transaction services. "In recent years, we have significantly expanded our customer base to over 300 customers and have lead many financing transactions, including for the Government of the Ukraine, " said Jay Collins, Co-Head of the Global Public Sector at Citi. "We are delighted to support the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC)." Jay operates out of Citi's world headquarters in New York City.

STEVEN FISHER, CITI COUNTRY OFFICER FOR UKRAINE
Citi announced the appointment of Steven Fisher as Citi Country Officer (CCO) for Ukraine, in early April, 2010. Fisher has been with Citi for 26 years and he brings unique and deep experience to this role. He recently served as Corporate Banking Regional Head for Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, during which time Citi arranged and underwrote over $150 billion in financing for Citi's clients in the region.

Steven had previously served in regional and country roles across Asia, EMEA and North America. He holds a M.S. degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., and a B. A. degree in International Relations, specializing in China and Russia, from Cornell University in New York State (http://www.citibank.ru/russia/news/eng/234.htm.) USUBC has met with Steven several times and will be working closely with Steven in Ukraine to create an improved business environment and to support Citi's expanding business operations.

Charles 'Rick' Johnston, Senior Vice President, International Government Affairs, Citigroup Management Corporation in Washington, D.C. will be working with USUBC in Washington, D.C. Rick has been attending USUBC meetings. "I have known Rick Johnson for many years. We used to work together on Capital Hill," said Morgan Williams, Director, Government Affairs, Washington Office, for the SigmaBleyzer Private Equity Investment Management Group, who serves as President of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council."
