YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND a USUBC sponsored KYIV OBLAST ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ROUNDTABLE meeting with Maksym Melnychuk, Head of Kyiv Oblast State Administration. The Roundtable will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 3:15 p.m. to 5 p.m. followed by a light reception in the Conference Room at the offices of SigmaBleyzer, 6 Baseyna Street, Mandarin Plaza, 8th Floor, Kyiv, Ukraine (see directions below).  

Maksym (Max) Melnychuk appointed Head of Kyiv Regional State Administration by President Poroshenko in February 2016.  "He is a young academician, Ph.D., a talented scientist, deservedly became Vice-President of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, where he was responsible for coordinating investment projects," the president said noting that Melnychuk was a member the group for 12 rounds of negotiations on FTA with EU .

PRIORITY IS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT -----

Since becoming Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Max Melnychuk has put his first priority on work and programs to improve the economic development of the Kyiv Oblast.  He believes the Kyiv Oblast offers great opportunities for private business development in the Oblast and has committed his Administration to working together with the private and public sector to bring about a major increase in private investment and jobs.

USUBC has had several meetings with Max this spring and look foward to the Roundtable this Thursday to hear from Max about the economic development plans, to further our cooperation and to lay out ideas for our further work to attract private business investments to the Kyiv Oblast.

BIO:  Maksym Melnychuk - Head of Kyiv Regional State Administration since February 2016
Mr. Melnychuk is a scientist in the field of virology, biotechnology, ecology, bioenergetics, doctor of biology, academician of National Academy of agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Professor, laureate of State prize of Ukraine in science and technology, laureate of Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences "For outstanding achievements in agricultural science". He also served as a Vice-President of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. From May 2010 he was Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. In January, 2011 Melnychuk resigned from the Ministry. Member of the Agrarian party of Ukraine.
