YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND A BUSINESS LEADERS ROUNDTABLE meeting with Members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in downtown Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, from 4:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. The Roundtable is sponsored by the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States. Attendance at the Roundtable is by invitation only.
The Business Leaders Roundtable will feature (1) Oleksandr Danyliuk, Minister of Finance of Ukraine, (2) Volodymyr Omelyan, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, (3) Yuliya Kovaliv, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and with (4) Andriy Kobolyev, Chief Executive Officer, Naftogaz and (5) Ihor Nasalyk, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, who have also invited to attend and make presentations at the Roundtable. The presentations by the members of the Ukrainian government delegation will be followed by a Q&A/discussion session.
(1) Oleksandr Danyliuk , Minister of Finance of Ukraine
Mr. Danyliuk is a graduate of the National Technical University “Kyiv Polytechnical Institute” (1998). He also attended Kyiv Institute for Investment Management (1995) as well as Indiana University Kelly School of Business (MBA, 2001).
From 1995 till 1998 he held different posts at a number of investment companies. In 2001 and 2002 - vice-president of Avechurs company (Kyiv).
For three years (2002-2005) - senior consultant at McKinsey and Co. In London, Great Britain. From 2006 till 2010 - CEO of the investment company “Rurik Investment”
From 2010 till 2015 - head of the Coordination Centre for the Implementation of Economic Reforms (Kyiv). Till April 14, 2016, he had been the Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of Ukraine (since September 25, 2015) and the representative of the President in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (since July 17, 2014). Minister of Finance is fluent in five languages.
(2) Volodymyr Omelyan, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine
In 2000 Volodymyr graduated from Lviv National Ivan Franko University, in 2001 got a degree of Lviv Polytechnical Institute.
Has a degree in Finances, International Relations and Economics.
From 2000 - served in different positions in Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
Since April 2016 – Minister Of Infrastructure of Ukraine
(3) Yuliya Kovaliv, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine
In 2005, got a Bachelor's degree in Economics at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
In 2011 she graduated from the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, got MBA degree in Social Development. She is a member of the Association of Masters of Public Administration.
Since 2010, the coordinator of the Coordination Center of Economic Reforms under the President of Ukraine
2014 was appointed member of the National Commission for State Regulation in Energy and Utilities
Since April 2016 - First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade
(4) Andriy Kobolyev, Chief Executive Officer (Chairman of the executive board), Naftogaz
Andriy began his career at the international audit and consulting group PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC), where he specialized in issues of strategic management and corporate transformation. From 2002 to 2010 he worked at Naftogaz, rising from a chief specialist to Adviser to the Chairman.
Andriy co-founded AYA Capital investment banking group in 2010, where he focused on debt and equity capital raising, debt restructuring and corporate reorganizations of large enterprises and holdings.
Andriy holds a master's degree in international economic relations with honors from the Institute of International Relations at Kyiv Shevchenko National University.
(5) Ihor Nasalyk - Minister of Energy and Coal Industry
1985-1987 – served in the army.
A member of Ukrainian parliament of three convocations (with the Petro Poroshenko Bloc in the latest one)
Won the election running in a single-seat constituency in the town of Kalush, the Ivano-Frankivska Oblast
2006-2014 - was the town's mayor for two terms
Since 2014 - Former Deputy Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex
In 2016 was appointed Minister of Energy of Ukraine
