UkraineInternational Airlines upgrades the Buy on Board meal concept. Effective August20, 2014, UIA passengers will be offered hot meals and extensive selection ofsandwiches and desserts on board. 

UIA constantly worksupon upgrading passenger service. Thus, Economy Class passengers will beprovided with the opportunity not only to enjoy reasonably priced snacks,sandwiches, soups, alcoholic and soft drinks, but also to order a three coursemeal including a salad, a hot meal, a dessert plus a drink of the passenger’schoice. The sandwich and dessert menus have also been upgraded with the dessertof the day and a vegetarian Caprese sandwich. We believe every passenger willfind a course to suit his fancy. All courses are cooked to original Do&CoGourmet recipes. 

Today the Buy onBoard meal concept is introduced on international scheduled flights from 90 to 185 minutes. In September2014 the concept will be introduced on longer flights. Complimentary in-flightmeals are still available in Business class as well as on long-haul flights. 

“We are constantly studying current bestpractices among Europe’s leading carriers and monitor the internationalaviation market trends, – noted Anton Borysyuk, UIA Vice President Services and Logistics. – Ukraine International is activelypreparing for major changes in Ukrainian aviation related to the country`saccession to the EU’s Common Aviation Area, scheduled to happen as early assummer 2015. The latest market trends reveal that 45% of European passengerstoday choose low-cost carriers that offer optional services, such as onboardmeals, at an extra charge. Following this trend, we gradually introduce the newBuy on Board meal concept, enabling UIA to offer passengers flexible ticketrates and to provide them with the opportunity to choose and pay for thein-flight service mix that suits them best”. 

UkraineInternational plans to introduce the Preordered Meal service offering UIAguests to personallyselect their on-board breakfast, lunch or dinner menu; and make their tripswith Ukraine International even more enjoyable.
