MIM-Kyiv BEGAN 22 YEARS AGO
The International Management Institute (MIM-Kyiv) was established in 1989 as the joint venture of the International Management Institute, Geneva (later IMD-Lausanne) and the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. It was the first business school in the CIS countries and it started in Kyiv! Since then “the first” has been steadily attributed to MIM-Kyiv, to its story of success. It was MIM-Kyiv that first offered an MBA program based on international standards to the post-Soviet managers in early 1990s and has remained since then the leader of business education in the country.

PIONEERING EDUCATIONAL PRODUCTS
MIM-Kyiv’s extensive program portfolio includes graduate programs ranging from MBA to DBA, as well as a series of executive Programs for Management Development (PMD) that are designed after graduate programs, but are more focused on the specific fields of responsibility in an organization, e.g. finance, human resources, marketing. There are also in-company programs (both graduate and executive), which are tailored to suit the requirements of a specific industry or a business. MIM-Kyiv’s corporate clients are Aval Bank (later Raiffeisen Bank Aval), Obolon, Kyiv Investment Group, KyivStar, Continium Group, UktTransNafta, Incom, DataGroup, Bayer AG, and PrykarpattiaOblEnergo among others.

At MIM-Kyiv versatile partnerships and comprehensive ties are promoted through the community of over 3,800 alumni, which numbers almost 2,000 MBAs alone. Many of them are CEOs or owners of well-known Ukrainian and international companies. In MIM-Kyiv, there are a number of activities designed particularly for alumni to facilitate their long-life learning, as well as effective networking during special events.

MIM-KYIV’S INTERNATIONALITY
Since 1997, the school has been an active member of both the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and the Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN). The latter granted MIM-Kyiv the renowned International Quality Accreditation (IQA) in 2004.
During past two decades MIM-Kyiv has managed to develop a respectable international network of educational and research partners.
