Asters maintains and expands its leading position in key practice areas according to the recently published Chambers Global 2012 Guide, an authoritative market research publication. This year the firm has once again secured high rankings for all practice areas researched and four individual lawyer rankings.

2012 Guide reconfirms the preeminence of Asters' Banking and Finance practice ranking it in Band 1 and describing the practice head senior partner Armen Khachaturyan, also recognized individually in this Band, as "outstanding lawyer", who is "commended for his strategic thinking and transactional experience on cross-border deals." Expanding the firm's recognition in this field, the Guide for the first time recognizes partner Iryna Pokanay as a leading practitioner in Banking and Finance noting her great project finance skills and responsiveness to the client needs.

Chambers Global rates Asters' Corporate and M&A practice in Band 2 also recognizing Oleksiy Didkovskiy and Armen Khachaturyan individually for their role in this practice. It describes managing partner Oleksiy Didkovskiy as "very practical and sensible lawyer recommended for his expertise in Corporate and M&A work." Partner Oleksandr Padalka is again recognized for his role in Corporate and M&A practice with Chambers describing him as "strong name in the corporate field, handling M&A transactions across a wide range of industries."

The Guide praises the firm's Dispute Resolution practice where it notes the practice leader Oleksiy Didkovskiy and his "dynamic team of professionals" serving clients from diverse industries.

This year, in addition to recognizing the Restructuring and Insolvency practice in Band 2 of the rating, the Guide also for the first time recognized Armen Khachaturyan individually for his contribution to this practice.
