ASTARTA put into operation a second unit of a modern dairy livestock complex (Poltava region) for 1200 heads in accordance with the strategy of development of cattle farming segment of the Group that envisages increase of production at volumes and yields.
The Group implements modern technologies of livestock keeping and nutrition as a part of the project. This results in substantial growth of milk production efficiency: yields per cow grew up to 7000 liters per year. Additionally, modern systems of waste separation, milk cooling, automatic analysis of herd’s productivity are introduced that allows to optimize costs and to increase milk quality.
As a part of a long-term strategy of the development of cattle farming segment, in 2012 ASTARTA initiates a project on creation of the complex of accelerated breeding of young livestock. Due to favorable keeping and nutrition conditions within complex, it will be possible to accelerate breading before lactation period, that would provide basis for dynamic growth, restoration and productivity increase of the herd within the Group.
