Arzinger’s Senior Associate Svitlana Postrygan elected Deputy Head of the Medical Law Committee of the UBA

On April 2, 2012 the Board of Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) approved the deputy heads of UBA Committees. Thus, Svitlana Postrygan, Senior Associate at Arzinger, Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals Practice, was appointed Deputy Head of the Medical Law Committee of the Association upon the submission of the Committee’s Head.
As Deputy Head Svetlana will perform duties of the Committee’s Chairman in the latter’s absence. She is also charged with the on-going work on behalf of the Chairman and other powers under the Regulations on UBA Committees and other internal documents of the Association. Furthermore, her work in the Committee will include the preparation of amendments and recommendations to occupational health regulations.
Svitlana Postrygan has considerable experience in the sphere of healthcare, medical service and pharmaceuticals. She has been advising leading global and domestic pharmaceutical companies and medical institutions on various aspects of legal practice, so she knows firsthand the problems and expectations of businesses regarding the improvement of legal regulation in this sector. Arzinger is a leading law firm in Ukraine and the healthcare industry is one of its priorities.
The UBA Medical Committee is a structural subdivision of the Association established to develop and improve legislation on health care in Ukraine by providing a proper environment for dialogue and exchange of experience among members of the Committee, to combine efforts of its members, in order to identify current problems and solutions; to promote initiatives on behalf of the Association; to collect and analyse information on legislation and judicial practice in the field of medicine as well to arrange own regular events and participate in external events on current issues of medical law.
