On 10 January 2012 Anna Pogrebna, partner at Arzinger Law Office, became member of the Public Council at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. By order of the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine the body comprising 80 leading experts and representatives of the agrarian sector was established. The Public Council under the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine is a standing advisory body whose purpose is to organize public control and interaction of public organizations with the Ministry, to ensure the transparency of the Ministry’s activities and to take into account public opinion in the formation and implementation of the State’s agrarian policy.

The Public Council has been entrusted with the task of promoting the participation of individuals in public affairs and for considering public opinion in the preparation and implementation of the Ministry’s decisions. Important tasks of the Council are to get feedback from public organizations and associations and to summarize the public opinion about the Ministry’s activities. In addition, council members will be actively involved in the development and implementation of public policies in the agrarian sector and in the expert evaluation of draft laws submitted by the Ministry.

Anna Pogrebna’s knowledge and expertise will contribute to the accomplishment of tasks set before the council.
