Salans advises CHS Inc. with regard to its investment in a grain terminal in Odessa, Ukraine
18 September 2009, Kyiv: Salans acted as legal advisor in Ukraine to CHS Inc. regarding its acquisition of an ownership interest in a grain terminal in the port of Odessa, Ukraine. Under the investment agreement, the export terminal will be jointly operated by CHS Inc. and its Ukrainian partner, GN Terminals, Odessa, Ukraine. Under the agreement, CHS will manage part of the terminal’s capacity, allowing it to manage its own rail cars, trucks and ships through the Odessa terminal, and all grain will be marked as CHS. The value of the deal cannot be disclosed at this stage.
Salans legal advice on this transaction included complete transactional guidance covering deal structuring, financing, governmental permitting and tax.
