CISCO APPOINTS NEW GENERAL DIRECTOR IN RUSSIA

MOSCOW - Pavel Betsis has been appointed general director at OOO Cisco Systems,the Russian subsidiary of U.S. company Cisco Systems Inc, the company said in a statement.
Betsis replaced Robert Agee, who had headed Cisco's operations in Russia over the course of the last 12 years. Agee now serves as the company's vice president for business development and advises on strategy to Cisco's corporate board for investment and programs for Russia. He is also a member of the consulting council of Almaz Capital/Cisco Fund I, the statement said.
Betsis and Agee will perform their duties under the direct supervision of Duncan Mitchell, Cisco's senior vice president for the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe and the Persian Gulf.

Pavel Betsis, a native of Ukraine, has worked in the IT Industry since 1985, when he started work at IBM, the statement said.
Cisco Systems is the world's leading producer of cellular equipment. The company opened an office in Russia in 1997. In January 2007,OOO Cisco Systems was registered.
